How HRAs work

With a health reimbursement arrangement, or HRA, your company funds and owns the arrangement. You choose to allow the arrangement to pay for the deductible, coinsurance or both. Here are some of the benefits:

  • These pay-as-you-go plans have no startup or administrative fees.
  • They offer tax advantages and seamless processing of medical claims.

How plans with PCP Focus work

PCP Focus lowers costs by offering maximum-quality HMO-managed care to members who choose a doctor from the PCP Focus network. This local, custom network offers all the provider access your employees need to improve their health. Additionally, when paired with a BCN HMO plan, the PCP Focus network provides employers — located in an eligible Michigan county and with fewer than 300 BCN-enrolled contracts — typically up to 10% premium savings versus the standalone plan.

New for 2026: We’ve expanded the PCP Focus network by 55% into 11 additional counties to give more employers and their employees more ways to save.
