As a college student, you have enough to worry about. With access to the Michigan State University Health Plan, you now have one less worry. The plan, provided through Blue Care Network, is available to undergraduate students. You’ll just need to enroll. If you're a graduate assistant, international student or a college of medicine student, you're automatically enrolled, but you'll need to sign up your dependents.
As a student or graduate assistant enrolled in the plans, you’ll be assigned a primary care physician, or PCP, who’s based at Olin Health Care Center on campus. Your PCP is your first point of contact for health care. These doctors:
Using Olin Health CenterIf you go to Olin, you'll generally pay less out of pocket for your care. If you need to see a doctor outside of Olin Health Center, you’ll need a referral for care within 45 miles of campus. Without it, your care won’t be covered. However, you don't need a referral for ER visits.
