For Providers: What is the Electronic Funds Transfer and Online Voucher Program?

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network's electronic funds transfer and online voucher program electronically sends payments to your choice of financial accounts and lets you view and print remittance advices, or vouchers, online.

Who's eligible?

This program is available to participating Michigan professional and facility providers, including billers of routine vision and hearing services. If you do not have a user ID and password for the provider portal, you'll need to register to access it.

The program doesn't include dental providers.

Out-of-state providers

This program is available for out-of-state providers who receive payments from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for Medicare crossover claims. If you don't have a user ID and password for the provider portal, you'll need to enroll as a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan provider. Use our out-of-state provider enrollment form (PDF).

How do I register?

Once you've registered for the portal and received your user ID and password, or if you already have a user ID and password, log in. Once you've logged in, select "Register Provider(s)" under the Electronic Funds Transfer section. Complete the required information and submit the form.

Because we have to verify your banking information, it may take up to three to five weeks to process your form. Until you successfully enroll, you'll continue to receive payments in the mail. We'll send you a confirmation letter notifying you that your registration is complete.

How can I find a voucher online?

Our Steps for locating a voucher or remittance advice online (PDF) has information for professional and facility claims. It applies to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network providers.

Where can I find more information?

You can find more details on the electronic funds transfer and voucher program in past issues of The Record and BCN Provider News.
