Find out if you're covered

To get started, look at your Blue Cross ID card to see whether you have a PPO plan or an HMO plan.

PPO members

Your PPO plan covers vaccinations in most cases. However, if your employer purchased your plan before the Affordable Care Act was enacted, you may have a copay. To make sure you're covered:

  • Log in to your online account on and search for immunizations
  • Or call the Customer Service number on the back of your ID card and we'll help

Once you know whether you're covered, you can get vaccinated by:

  • Making an appointment with your doctor
  • Visiting a pharmacy that accepts your plan if you have prescription coverage through us
  • If you don't have prescription coverage through us, your vaccine may still be covered. You can use your medical coverage and go to an immunizing pharmacy

To find an immunizing pharmacy in your area, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Find Care
  2. Scroll to Find a Doctor and log in to your account
  3. Select Doctors & Hospitals
  4. Select Find a Doctor under Find in-network care
  5. Select Places by Type
  6. Type in Immunization Pharmacy and select the search icon
