Always have your member ID card when you need it

Your digital member ID card is proof of your coverage and can be used at doctor visits, pharmacies and other health care appointments - just like a physical card.  You can:

  • Show your ID card from your phone
  • Securely share your member ID card with a provider
  • Download or print a copy when you need it
  • Add it to your digital wallet for quick access

Many providers will accept your digital ID card, but you'll want to keep your physical card available if requested.

Your member ID card is already available in the BCBSM mobile app. Save it to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for even faster access when you need care.

Your ID card is your proof of health coverage. You can use it when you visit a doctor or a pharmacy to verify your health plan.

You can access your member ID through your online account. From there you can download it, print it out or add it your digital wallet.

You can simply present your digital ID to your health care provider. It will be located in the digital wallet on your phone. Some providers may still ask for a physical copy, so you may want to keep one available. You can download and print one out from your member account.

You can always download, print or order a card from your member account.

If you enrolled in dental or vision coverage, you will receive separate ID card in ther mail. These benefits are managed independently and will not be included on your medical card. Bring these dedicated cards to your dentist or eye doctor.

Your prescription benefits are listed on your medical ID card. If your plan includes pharmacy coverage, you will see an Rx symbol printed in the bottom right corner.

You can use your physical or digital ID to fill prescriptions.

You can add your digital ID card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet through our mobile app.

You can add multiple cards to Apple Wallet or Android by opening the Wallet app, tapping the plus icon, and selecting each card type to add.
