Goodbye web-DENIS, hello Availity Essentials

Provider Tool GraphicOn March 19, 2022, we’ll officially launch our new secure provider website, called Availity Essentials. It will replace web-DENIS and our current Provider Secured Services, which will be retired in June (exact date to be determined).

Providers who already have access to Availity will be able to access Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network content on Availity beginning March 19. Availity is an independent company that contracts with Blue Cross and BCN to offer provider portal services.

This new site will have additional online tools and functions to make it easier for you to do business with us. It will still provide access to many of the tools you currently use but will have a simple, fresh look, updated search features and improved performance.

“In designing the website, we took into consideration feedback that we had received from health care providers in our provider survey, conducted in late 2019,” said Jennifer Bussone, director of Provider Experience. “Since then, we’ve been working hard to address many of the concerns you expressed while keeping the features you like.”

You’ll soon receive an email with a special edition newsletter focused on the transition to our new provider portal, Availity Essentials. It will include important details about the new portal, along with information on registration and training.
