Blue Cross Medicare members are covered with an annual wellness visit every 12 months. This is an opportunity to screen for new problems and manage chronic ones.

Annual wellness visits 
Stay on top of your health with your Medicare Advantage plan. Review your current health and medications with your provider and make changes as necessary with an annual wellness visit.  

If you don't have a primary care provider, log in to your online account to find a doctor. 

Virtual Care 
Your primary care provider may participate in Virtual Care. If they don’t, they may offer online visits.

Preventive care

As a Medicare Advantage member, many preventive services are included in your plan—from your annual wellness visit to many immunizations. Talk with your provider to ask about preventive services you should consider.  

Staying healthy and independent starts at home. Speak with your provider today about steps you can take to limit fall risks, incontinence, and stay healthy. We’ve included some questions for you to ask your provider to make the conversation a little easier.

24-Hour nurse line

Calling our 24-hour nurse line allows you to talk with a registered nurse regarding any health concerns or questions you may have. Free to all members, you'll have access to health care around the clock.

Not having to worry about prescription refills can put your mind at ease. We’ve waived refill limits on 30-day maintenance medications. If there’s a shortage, you can receive an alternative at no additional cost.

Optum Home Delivery 
For an easy way to stay healthy, have your prescriptions mailed to you by Optum Home Delivery. You can enroll in or manage your mail order prescriptions in your member account.  

Automatic refills  
Blue Cross is committed to delivering your prescriptions to you. We have waived refill limits for all 30-day maintenance prescriptions, not including opioids. And if your prescription has a shortage, you can receive an alternative for zero cost. 

How to get started 

For Medicare Advantage members with prescription drug coverage 
Sign up for automatic refills with Optum Home Delivery in your online member account, or using the BCBSM mobile app. If you prefer, you can also ask your pharmacist to transfer a prescription to mail order with Optum Home Delivery.
