The best way to find out whether a prescription is covered is to log in to your member account.

When you log in, you can get drug cost estimates, refill your prescriptions and more.

If you don't want to log in, you can view drug lists to see what's covered. Just keep in mind you can't view exact prices and guidelines without logging in.

Preferred pharmacies are in your network and help you save extra money on your copays.

The preferred network includes independent and chain pharmacies such as Costco, Kroger, Meijer and Walgreens.

When you use Find a Pharmacy, it will let you know which pharmacies in your area are preferred.

It’s an approval process we use to make sure a drug is safe, medically necessary and cost-effective.

Insurance companies use this process before agreeing to cover certain medications.

Your pharmacist will tell you if your drug needs prior authorization, and you’ll need to contact your doctor’s office. Your doctor will submit the required paperwork. You must follow this process. Otherwise, you may have to pay the full cost of a drug.

Step therapy is trying certain medications before trying another drug for your condition. 

If your prescription requires step therapy, talk with your doctor. They may be able to prescribe a different medication.
