Health Plan Ratings

Who is this for?

If you're shopping for a Medicare plan, these documents can help you compare the quality of our Medicare Advantage and Part D prescription drug plans.

You're probably used to seeing restaurants and hotels rated on a five-star scale. Did you know Medicare plans are rated the same way?

Every year, the government reviews all the Medicare plans in the country. They look at things like member satisfaction, customer service and patient safety. Then, they give each plan a rating from one to five stars, where five is the best. These star ratings make it easy for you to compare the quality of plans as you shop.

Here are the star ratings for our Medicare Advantage and Part D prescription drug plans.

Medicare 5-star special enrollment

When a Medicare plan receives a five-star rating, new and existing members can select or switch to this plan during the 5-star special enrollment period. Blue Care Network HMO received a 5-star rating for 2022 and is currently an option.

This enrollment period is available for current and new Medicare members, including:

  • Medicare members who already selected a different Medicare plan
  • Those who are eligible for Medicare but have not yet selected a Medicare plan
  • Future Medicare members who turn 65 later in the year

The 5-star special enrollment period ends on Nov. 30, 2022.
