Administrative Training for Professional Providers
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is offering a variety of seminar topics for professional billers. This is part of our ongoing commitment to make it easier for you to do business with us.
Most of these seminars are designed for new billers or office personnel who haven't attended these classes in the past two years or who want to learn the newest ways to do business with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. We are pleased to announce that our educational sessions have received prior approval for continuing education credits by the American Academy of Professional Coders. Granting of prior approval in no way constitutes endorsement by the AAPC of the program sponsor.
To show our appreciation for your participation with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, all seminars are free to providers.
Each seminar is either a half or full-day session
- Check-in for morning sessions is 8:30 a.m.; class runs from 9 a.m. to noon.
- Check-in for afternoon sessions is 12:30 p.m.; class runs from 1 to 4 p.m.
- Check-in for full-day sessions is 8:30 a.m.; class runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

General Information
- You must register at least five days prior to the first day of the class. Any registration received fewer than five days in advance may not be accepted.
- Submit one form for each individual attending each seminar.
- If the seminar you selected fills before we receive your registration, we will place you on a waiting list and notify you if an opening becomes available.
- Visit Locate Us to get directions to the seminars at the BCBSM locations. For the other locations, please call the number listed after the seminar site for directions.
- Lunch is not included with the seminars, but restaurants are located near the TRAINING sites.
- Although these manuals are not needed for the training sessions, if you need a copy of the ICD-9-CM or CPT manuals, please call your local bookstore.
- Classes have been approved for continuing education credits (which can be given only once per calendar year for those repeating classes)
