Drug Lists

A drug list is a list of drugs approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network. These medications are selected because they’re safe, effective and lower in cost.

You can use drug lists to see if a medication is covered by your health insurance. You can also find out if the medication is available as a generic, needs prior authorization, has quantity limits and more.

Drug lists for individual and family plans and small group employer-sponsored plans

Look here for your drug list if you buy your own health insurance or you're insured through an employer with 50 or fewer full-time employees.

Drug lists for large group plans

Look here for your drug list if you're insured through an employer with 51 or more full-time employees. Not sure what plan you have? Look on your Blues ID card or call the customer service number on the back of your card and we'll help.
