Job Summary:

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) is seeking an Account Manager in our Group Sales area. This individual will have the primary responsibility to retain and increase BCBSM and Blue Care Network membership within an assigned territory in West Michigan generally with 100 or greater employees in a group, while managing the quality and consistency of product and service delivery within that territory. This position offers a solid benefit package, competitive salary and a marketing incentive program.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Activities will include administration, planning, strategizing and benefits consulting.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Four (4) years of health benefit account management experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Must display an expert level of communication skills along with attention to details, a sense of urgency and good follow-up skills.

Summary:
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is seeking Key Account Managers in our Group Sales area. The selected candidates will have primary relationship management responsibilities for a territory of customers which exceed 1,000 contracts each and currently have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network products. They will be responsible for managing the quality and consistency of product and service delivery within their territory and will be expected to meet with their customers face-to-face. Travel will involve both in state and out of state. Activities will include administration, planning, strategizing and benefits consulting within the territory to retain and expand Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network business. An opening is available in each of the following home offices: Southfield, Lansing and Grand Rapids. We offer a solid benefit package, competitive salary and marketing incentive program.


Requirements:

  • Five (5)+ years of health benefit account management experience
  • Bachelor's degree required.
