How do I create an invoice in eSettlements?

Find out how to use eSettlements to create invoices as a supplier.

If you're a supplier to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan or Blue Care Network, this information can help you learn how to create an invoice in eSettlements, our online tool.

  1. From the home page, go to Main Menu, eSettlements, then Self-Service Invoice.
  2. Under Invoice Actions, choose Create Invoice.
  3. Under Invoice Header Information, in the right column, fill in the Buyer section. Select the magnifying glass to search for an existing Buyer. 
  4. Choose the middle button, Copy from a Purchase Order.
  5. Under Look Up A Purchase Order, fill in the search criteria you want to use and select Search.
  6. From the search results, choose the link of the PO number you want to create an invoice for.
  7. On the line of the PO you want to invoice, check the box under select. Then choose Copy To Invoice.
  8. On the next page, most of the information should populate. Enter the Invoice ID. Then update the quantity and make sure that everything is correct. If you make any changes to your invoice, refresh the page to update.
  9. Choose Save and Submit at the bottom. You’ll receive a message to submit the invoice to the buyer. Choose OK. If you receive a message that the sales tax is wrong, you can choose OK to submit anyway or Cancel to continue updating.

Tip: You might not see your invoice right away. Please allow 24 hours after you submit your invoice for it to post.
