If you have a Provider Secured Services account, you can simply log in to check a patient's benefits and skip our automated system. You can also call the system to check a patient's benefits and receive a copy of them.

When you call:

  1. Say “eligibility and benefits.”
  2. Enter the following information:
    • Your BCBSM PIN, facility code or 10-digit national provider identifier
    • Your specialty
    • The member’s contract number, date of birth, the spelling of their first name and their ZIP code
  3. Listen to the member’s contract information.
  4. Say “eligibility and benefits.”
  5. Listen to the member’s cost-share information.
  6. Say the benefit you want to learn more about. You can ask for a list of options, or find a list of options using the following:
  7. Once the system has read through the entire benefit, say "representative" to reach someone who can help. You’ll need to wait for the system to finish speaking before saying "representative." Otherwise, you could be disconnected.
