The BCN AdvantageSM MyChoice Wellness HMO service area is limited to the Mercy Health System in Kent, Muskegon, Oceana and Ottawa counties.

The BCN AdvantageSM HMO HealthySaver and BCN Advantage℠ HMO HealthyValue networks are limited to Arenac, Genesee, Iosco, Kent, Kalamazoo, Livingston, Macomb, Muskegon, Oakland, Oceana, Ottawa, Saginaw, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne counties. 

If your travel takes you outside your plan’s network, here’s what you need to know.

Traveling outside of your plan’s network in Michigan and the U.S.

  • Life-threatening injury or illness: Go to the nearest hospital or urgent care center that accepts Medicare. Be sure to call your primary care physician as soon as possible so they can coordinate your care.
  • If you need routine care: In most cases, your plan won't cover this care. Discuss your needs with your primary care physician before you leave.

Traveling outside of the U.S.

  • Life-threatening or urgent injury or illness: Go to the nearest hospital or urgent care center. Be sure to contact your primary care physician as soon as possible so they can coordinate your care. Our plans cover emergency care with a $50,000 lifetime maximum.
  • If you need routine care: Your plan doesn't cover this outside of the U.S.
