We're glad you're a part of Healthy Kids Dental. Use the resources on this page to help keep your child's teeth and gums healthy. Below you'll learn how to find a participating dentist and free transportation and view the member handbook.
Find a dentist
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is committed to keeping Michigan children healthy, including their dental health. With eight out of 10 dentists accepting Healthy Kids Dental, you’ll be able to find a dentist to fit your needs.

Plan documents
There are several documents available for you to view and download. You can also print this Blue Cross Healthy Kids Dental Certificate of Coverage to view more information about your plan.

Dental health tips
Find helpful information and games on our Dental Health Tips page. Read about how sealants help prevent decay, the importance of regular checkups, when your child should make their first visit to the dentist, how pregnant women's gum disease affects their babies and more.
Transition of care
If you're a new member and received covered Healthy Kids Dental services from another dental plan or the State of Michigan, we can help you continue your care. We'll make sure you can continue to receive services from network and out of network dentists. To see if your dentist is in our network:
- Call 1-800-936-0935. TTY users call 711
- Select Find a Dentist within the member website
If your dentist is not in our network, we'll help you find a new dentist that's right for your family. We'll also honor any prior authorizations approved by your last dental plan or the State of Michigan for covered Healthy Kids Dental services for the first 90 days after you have joined our plan.
We'll also cover services if you lose Medicaid or CHIP eligibility while enrolled in our plan. We'll cover the care as long as it is given within 60 days from the date eligibility was lost.
Grievances and Appeals
If you decide to have someone represent you or act for you at any time during the grievance or appeal process, you can either:
- Send us a letter informing us that you want someone else to represent you and include in the letter their contact information or,
- Fill out the Designation of Authorized Representative for Appeal Form (PDF) and send it to us.
Care coordination
If you have any chronic medical or dental condition, special needs or need help with care coordination, call 1-800-936-0935 (TTY: 711).
Transportation benefits
We understand there may be times when you need a ride to your dental services or procedures. Healthy Kids Dental can help you get there. Find out who to call based on where you live.
