Allowed amount is the dollar amount Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care network have agreed to pay for health care services covered by your plan. Allowed amount is sometimes called "negotiated rate" because we negotiate with providers (for example, doctors and hospitals) to get health care services at discounted rates for our members.
