2015 Actuarial Value Calculator and methodology released

On March 5, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released the final Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters for 2015. The final rule includes details about the 2015 Actuarial Value Calculator and its accompanying methodology document.

After updating and finalizing the 2014 AV Calculator to make it appropriate for 2015, HHS released the final 2015 AV Calculator that allows issuers to determine the actuarial value of their products.

HHS intends to update the AV Calculator on a regular basis.
