Optum offers new online portal to upload medical records on behalf of Blue Cross

Optum offers a new, secure online portal for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan providers to manage Optum medical record requests.

Self-registration is now available. Login instructions are available on the Optum Medical Record Request instruction page.

How to register for the Optum Payment Integrity Portal

  1. Go to the portal.**
  2. Select Sign In.
  3. Sign in with your One HealthCare ID, or OHID; new users can select Create One HealthCare ID to get started.
  4. You’ll receive an automated email to complete registration.
  5. Open the automated email and select Complete Registration.
  6. Log in to your OHID using your email and password.
  7. Navigate to the menu pane on the left side or the bottom of the homepage and select Self-Registration.
  8. Click on Sign In when you’re directed to the portal login page.
  9. Complete all fields on the self-registration screen. New users are required to complete all fields with information found on a medical record request letter from Optum:
    1. Provider TIN
    2. Authorization code (available on the medical record request letter)
    3. Barcode (available on the medical record request letter)
    4. First date of service
  10. You’ll receive a confirmation of self-registration by email.
  11. Enter your TIN in the portal.
  12. The portal will list eligible provider names based on the TIN entered. If the provider name doesn’t show in portal, contact PI Portal Support.
  13. Select associated provider name and select Next.
  14. Enter required personal information:
    1. First name
    2. Last name
    3. Email address
  15. Select Next.

Note: All steps identified above only need to be completed once per new user. After users have completed the self-registration process, they are able to sign into the PI Portal using their OHID.
