Select Medicare Advantage members received in-home test kits in September

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network contracted with Everlywell, an independent company, to distribute in-home test kits in September to select Medicare Advantage members.

Some members may have received the following tests:

  • Members who had a gap in care for colorectal cancer screening received a fecal immunochemical test, or FIT, kit.
  • Members who had a gap in care for hemoglobin A1c, or HbA1c, testing, received an HbA1c testing kit.

If your patients reach out to you about these tests, you may want to encourage them to take advantage of this convenient, no-cost testing.

Members who were sent the tests were encouraged to discuss test results with their primary care providers. Here’s how the test result notification process works:
