2022 kidney and pancreas transplant benefit changes for FEP membersEffective Jan. 1, 2022, kidney transplants for Standard and Basic Option Federal Employee Program® members require prior authorization and are part of the Blue Distinction® Center for Transplants program. Procedure codes *50360 and *50365 are subject to the benefit change. Also effective Jan. 1, 2022, pancreas transplants for Standard and Basic Option FEP members are no longer part of the BDCT program. Prior authorization is still required. If you have questions about the Blue Distinction Center for Transplants program, call the Human Organ Transplant Program at 1-800-242-3504. If you have questions regarding benefits, call Customer Service at 1-800-482-3600. |
