We’re applying value‑based reimbursement to procedure codes for COVID‑19 vaccine, other immunizationsEffective July 1, 2021, value-based reimbursement will be applied to the new COVID‑19 vaccine administration codes billed by primary care providers and specialists who are receiving value‑based reimbursement. The relevant procedure codes to which value-based reimbursement will be applied are:
Value‑based reimbursement for primary care providers is currently applied to select evaluation and management, preventive health, telehealth and care management procedure codes. In addition to the codes listed above, value‑based reimbursement for primary care providers will be applied to six additional vaccine administration procedure codes, effective July 1, 2021. The additional procedure codes are:
