Reminder: NPI to replace Blue Cross PIN on AIM Specialty Health’s provider portal

Effective June 23, 2015, AIM Specialty Health’s provider portal has implemented the use of each physician’s national provider identifier instead of the Blue Cross PIN for linking M.D.s or D.O.s to user accounts.

For active physicians already on the portal, you don’t need to make any changes. Their PINs will be migrated to NPIs; therefore, users will not need to re-add providers to their accounts.

When adding new physicians, please use the NPI, not the Blue Cross PIN. If you have any technical issues, please contact AIM’s technical support team at 1-800-252-2025 for assistance.

Please note that this does not affect hospitals as they are recognized and linked by their tax ID.
