Do you know about Blues Brief?
Blues Brief, a one-page newsletter designed for our participating health care providers, gives you a look at some of the top articles in two of our provider newsletters: The Record and BCN Provider News. It’s published monthly for professional providers and quarterly for facility providers.
Consultants share the document with providers during in-person visits. The newsletter also can be found on web-DENIS. Go to BCBSM Provider Publications and Resources, and then select Newsletters and Resources. Or you can subscribe to Blues Brief via email. Simply email your provider consultant and ask to be added to the email distribution list. Don’t know who your provider consultant is? Follow the instructions below.
How to find your provider consultant
- Go to bcbsm.com/providers.
- Click on Contact Us in the upper right corner of the page.
- Under “Physicians and professionals” or “Hospitals and facilities,” click on Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan provider contacts.
- Click on Provider consultants.
- Find your provider consultant on the applicable regional list.
Or simply click here.
Blues Brief survey
We recently conducted a survey to find out how satisfied health care providers and office staff are with the monthly newsletter. More than 180 providers responded to our survey. Here’s what you told us:
- Fifty-seven percent receive Blues Brief regularly.
- Seventy percent read Blues Brief often/sometimes.
- Eighty percent strongly agree or agree that the one-page format is easy to read.
- Seventy-five percent strongly agree or agree that Blues Brief includes useful information relevant to work you do with BCBSM and BCN.
- Eighty-six percent strongly agree or agree they are glad Blues Brief is available for both BCBSM and BCN.
Some providers asked how they could get other provider-related news. You can find out more about all of our provider e-newsletters and subscribe to them clicking here.
Congratulations, survey winner
In February, we invited readers of Blues Brief to take a brief survey and be entered into a drawing to win a $25 gift card. Jo Lunt of the Center for Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine in Petoskey was the winner.
