New waiver available for Chrysler mental health, substance abuse out-of-network care

Although Mental Health Parity ended authorization for outpatient mental health and substance abuse care, Chrysler Group L.L.C. encourages SCN-represented members to contact ValueOptions for referral to network health care providers. Doing so will limit the member’s out-of-pocket expense.

If members are experiencing difficulty in accessing care through a network provider, ValueOptions may consider a provider waiver. Without a waiver, services provided by out-of-network providers will carry a 50-percent member sanction, beginning Jan. 1, 2013.
