Online prior authorization training planned

The Blues program requiring prior authorization of physician-administered specialty drugs will move to a secure online request system later this year. Physicians currently submit paper Medication Authorization Request Forms found on web-DENIS.

The new online request tool will be administered by our vendor, NovoLogix. In preparation for using this tool, we are offering online video training and hour-long question and answer sessions.

The training video will be available on the NovoLogix website Feb. 1. You can access the training video at the NovoLogix Knowledge Base.*

Please view the online training video prior to signing up to attend a question and answer session. Note that the question and answer sessions are for questions only and will not include full training sessions. Question and answer session spaces are limited, so please register as soon as possible. The registration deadline is Feb. 23.

To sign up for a question and answer session, please email NovoLogix at helpdesk@novologix.net and include the following information:

• Your top three choices for training session dates and times
• Number of computer ports needed for your attendees. If you have several attendees, we suggest using one computer to access the online session with all requested attendees in one room
• Email address and phone number, in the event NovoLogix needs to contact you regarding your request
