Blueprint for Affordability gains traction

We’re pleased to announce that seven more health care provider organizations have agreed to sign risk-sharing arrangements with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan as part of Blueprint for Affordability. They are:

  • Affinia
  • Genesys
  • Great Lakes OSC
  • Holland PHO
  • Northern Physician Organization
  • St. Mary’s PHO
  • Wexford PHO/Munson

In a column in the January – February issue of Hospital and Physician Update, Steve Anderson, vice president of Hospital Contracting and Network Administration, announced the first wave of seven health care provider organizations that signed risk-sharing agreements. He also explained how Blueprint is transforming how health care is managed and paid for in Michigan.

Blueprint for Affordability represents the next generation of our value-based programs. Through Blueprint, we’re working more closely with doctors and hospitals to keep the focus on the patient, align care and reduce duplication, readmissions and complications.

We’ll continue to update you as Blueprint for Affordability evolves. For now, you can read more about it at BlueprintForAffordability.com.
