Visiting your primary care provider in person can be challenging. Perhaps you live in a rural location or simply prefer virtual care. With Virtual Primary Care, you can select a virtual primary care provider and receive care using your mobile device or computer.
Through Virtual Primary Care by Teladoc Health®, members ages 18 and older have access to:
A U.S. board-certified Teladoc Health primary care provider.
A virtual care team that includes your primary care provider, a registered nurse and a certified medical assistant who will work with you to develop a personalized care plan.
Unlimited messaging to your virtual care team through the Teladoc Health app. Your care team will also be available by phone during Virtual Primary Care’s normal hours of operation.
Appointments are available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday.
Prior to your first wellness visit with a virtual primary care provider, you’ll receive a welcome kit that includes a digital blood pressure cuff.
Your virtual primary care provider can write prescriptions and order appropriate labs and imaging, when needed. They’ll also coordinate in-person care, if needed, and make referrals to in-network specialists.
Your out-of-pocket costs for Virtual Primary Care are the same as for in-person primary care. Remember, when your primary care provider isn’t available, you can have an urgent care visit through Virtual Care. It’s available through 24/7 Care in the same Teladoc Health app.
Virtual Primary Care from Teladoc Health isn’t available for Blue Care Network or Medicare members.
