Administrative Training for Facilities

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan offers web-DENIS and hospital billing techniques seminars for UB-04 billers as part of our ongoing commitment to provide you with best-in-class service.


These classes are for new billers to BCBSM or for refresher courses. If you've taken a similar class within the last two years, these classes are not recommended. It is important that participants attend all scheduled class hours to receive the full benefit and value of the information. Participants will receive certificates at the end of each class.


To show our appreciation for your participation with BCBSM, all seminars are free to providers.


Each seminar is a half-day session, with the exception of Hospital and Facility Billing Techniques, which lasts one full day.

  • Check-in for morning sessions is 8:30 a.m.; class runs from 9 a.m. to noon.
  • Check-in for afternoon sessions is 12:30 p.m.; class runs from 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Check-in for full-day sessions is at 8:30 a.m.; class runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Webinar participants should log in 10 minutes before the session begins.

Medicare Advantage class for new hospital billers coming in December

In response to your requests, we will conduct Medicare Advantage billing sessions for new hospital billers in December.


These sessions will introduce our Medicare Advantage products and include information about identifying members, eligibility, benefits, cost-sharing, appeals, MedAssurant and much more.

General Information

  • You must register at least five days prior to the first day of the class. Any registration received fewer than five days in advance will not be accepted.
  • Submit one form for each individual and each seminar.
  • If the seminar you selected fills before we receive your registration, we will place you on a waiting list and notify you if an opening becomes available.
  • Visit Locate Us to get directions to the seminars at the BCBSM locations. For the other locations, please call the number listed after the seminar site for directions.
  • Lunch is not included with the seminars, but restaurants are located near the seminar sites.
