New TRUST PPO guidelines for IPTs, freestanding OPT facilities effective Jan. 1

Effective Jan. 1, 2008, independent physical therapists and freestanding outpatient physical therapy facilities will join the TRUST panel of network providers. Beginning on that date, TRUST PPO physicians who prescribe physical therapy services should direct patients to an in-network, TRUST IPT or freestanding OPT facility.

IPT and freestanding OPT facilities became eligible to submit contracts to become TRUST PPO network providers starting in July. The addition of these providers will supplement the TRUST network, which is currently composed of Michigan facilities, M.D.s, D.O.s, D.C.s, D.P.M.s, oral surgeons and fully licensed psychologists.
