Promising heart imaging program expands to include cardiology, radiology physician groups

The BCBSM coronary computed tomography angiography program is accepting applications from qualified cardiology and radiology physician groups.

CCTA is a noninvasive technology that could replace conventional cardiac catheterization as the preferred diagnostic test for patients with heart problems. The scan uses contrast materials in the arteries and high-resolution CT machinery to obtain detailed images of blood vessels and the heart.

Partisan efforts in Lansing recently enacted a budget and tax plan following a one-day partial government shutdown. I suggest that lawmakers look to Michigan’s health care industry for the inspiration to collaborate on solutions that can provide Michigan with the forward momentum it needs.
