Go to top Re-registration for Online Accounts As of Sept. 18, 2009, all members with online accounts will have to reregister for a User Name and password to access their bcbsm.com online services. Why do I have to reregister for my online access? BCBSM has upgraded it's Web site to provide a better online experience for its members. Due to the security involved in the design of bcbsm.com all members with online accounts are required to reregister to continue using their online services. Can I keep the same User Name that I was using before the upgrade? Yes! User Names for accounts that existed prior to Sept. 18, 2009, will be deleted from the system and available to be chosen during reregistration. (Please note all User Names created after Sept. 18, 2009, must be unique. Your User Name may have already been used by another member. In that case you will need to choose another.) Go to top New User Registration What do you mean by "The Last Name" on your ID Card? The last name on your ID card is that of the person under whom you are insured and may be different from yours. If BCBSM member, it's located under "Enrollee Name". If a BCN member, it's located under "Subscriber Name". What is the Enrollee ID or Contract Number? This number contains nine numeric characters and appears under "Enrollee ID" or "Contract No." on both the BCBSM and BCN ID Card. Please Note: Do not include the alpha characters, spaces or hypens.
Whose date of birth do I enter? This is the date of birth of the person registering. Do I choose my own User Name or will BCBSM/BCN provide this for me? Members create their own User Name. It must be at least seven characters. Your User Name may have already been used by another member in this case you will need to choose another. Can my password be anything I want? Members also create their own password. It must be at least six characters and contain at least one alpha and one numeric character. It can't be the same as the User Name and no obscene words are accepted. When creating a password, make sure it's easy to remember, but not obvious to others. Why do I need to setup security questions and answers? If a member forgets their User Name or password, these security questions and answers are used to re-establish access to the system. Go to top Reset Password How do I reset my password? Go to Forgot Password and continue by following the prompts. This link can also be accessed off bcbsm.com. Click on the Member tab; click on "Login Help", click on "Forgot Password?" What do these questions have to do with my password? To protect privacy, the member must answer these questions correctly to confirm they are the authorized user before the password can be released. Can my password be anything I want?
