As a Medicare Plus Blue PPO member, you can see any doctor or hospital that will accept your Medicare Plus Blue PPO ID card. Your out-of-pocket costs will be lower if you see doctors and hospitals in our network.

Remember to ask your doctor if he or she participates with Medicare Plus Blue PPO before you receive services.

If you receive medical services within the Medicare Plus Blue PPO service area, most will be covered at in-network levels. Your doctor´s specialty and participation status determine whether a service is covered as in- or out-of-network. If, based on his or her specialty, your doctor was offered the opportunity to join the Medicare Plus Blue PPO network but chose not to join, he or she is considered an out-of-network, non-plan provider. Services you receive from out-of-network providers will be covered at out-of-network levels and you will pay more out-of-pocket than if you choose an in-network plan provider.

If you receive services within the Michigan counties of Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska or Leelanau, you may receive in-network medical care from any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare and your Medicare Plus Blue PPO ID card.

If you´re traveling outside of Michigan but within the United States, you may receive in-network medical care from any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare and your Medicare Plus Blue PPO ID card.
