What if the doctor I'm seeing isn't in the BCN AdvantageSM network?

If you're a BCN Advantage HMO-POS or HMO member, this information will tell you what to do if your doctor's not in our network.
Let’s face it. When it comes to health care, having a doctor you trust is one of the most important factors.
When you have a BCN Advantage HMO-POS or HMO plan, you get the benefit of coordinated care and low out-of-pocket costs.
You’re also agreeing to see doctors within your plan’s network. In most cases, care you get outside your network won’t be covered.
So if you’re seeing a doctor that’s not in your plan’s network, you’ll need to find a new doctor. This might sound daunting, but there are a few places you can start:
- You can search online in our Find a Doctor tool. Learn more about how to use this tool to find a doctor in our Help Center.
- You can call your My Blue ConciergeSM. They’ll help you look through our list of network doctors and find one that’s right for you.
- You can request a paper provider directory. Call the Customer Service number on the back of your Medicare Advantage ID card and we'll mail you a copy. We also have copies of our provider directories in our Help Center.
