The UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust offers comprehensive health coverage through Medicare Plus Blue Group PPO.

Medicare Plus Blue Group PPO offers the benefits of Original Medicare Parts A and B (hospital and medical) and expands your coverage to include additional preventive services.

With Medicare Plus Blue Group PPO, you'll get:

  • Lower costs, with no monthly contribution to the Trust in 2013*
  • Freedom to choose any doctor or hospital that accepts Original Medicare (Please note: Health care providers must be part of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicare Advantage network to be considered in-network.)
  • Lower out-of-pocket costs when you receive services from a doctor or hospital in the Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicare Advantage network
  • Coverage for services nationwide
  • Worldwide coverage for urgent care and emergencies
  • No referrals needed to see specialists
  • Virtually no paperwork
  • One ID card for health services (You will have a separate ID card for prescription drug coverage.)

*You must continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium.

Medicare Plus Blue Group PPOSM is a health plan with a Medicare contract.

With the exception of emergency or urgent care, it will cost more to get care from non-plan or non-preferred providers. You may receive services from any provider who accepts Original Medicare.
