MIChild is health insurance for Michigan’s uninsured and underinsured children. It has medical, dental, vision, hearing and prescription coverage for all eligible children in a family for only $10 a month with no coinsurance, copays or deductibles.
Who is eligible for MIChild?
You can apply for MIChild for your uninsured or underinsured children if they are under age 19, Michigan residents and U.S. citizens. Eligibility is also based on family income and other family circumstances.
MIChild is health insurance for uninsured and underinsured children who:
- Are under age 19, U.S. citizens and Michigan residents and meet the program’s family income limits
- Need medical, dental, vision, hearing and prescription coverage with no copays, coinsurance or deductibles; the cost is $10 for a whole family, even with more than one child.
