How long is the wait for an appointment at an AAEC?

When your child needs help, we know you want to get it as quickly as possible. The wait times for appointments at an Approved Autism Evaluation Center vary, but are longer than we'd like.

We want to make sure your child gets recommended treatment. If you're a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan member, we have a faster approval process for applied behavior analysis services in effect until July 31, 2013. See "My child doesn't have a diagnosis from an AAEC."

We’re actively working to encourage more facilities to apply for the AAEC designation and see more patients.
