Why aren't there more approved centers and certified analysts on our list?

Mandated coverage for autism treatment is new to all insurers and health care providers in Michigan.

We asked all hospitals in the state if they wanted to apply for designation as an Approved Autism Evaluation Center. And we contacted all board-certified behavior analysts who specialize in treating children with autism and asked them to enroll. There are about 40 in Michigan.

It will take some time to build the right networks to meet the community's needs.
