What is MIChild?

MIChild is a state-run program that helps Michigan families get the health care they need for their uninsured children.

For $10 a month, you’ll get complete medical, dental, vision, hearing and prescription coverage for all of your children under age 19. There’s no deductible, and there’s no copay when you visit a participating doctor.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan helps uninsured children receive the health insurance coverage they need.

What does it cover?

Our MIChild plan covers services such as:

  • Emergency care
  • Hospital treatment
  • Prescription drugs
  • Well-baby care and child care visits
  • Health exams
  • Immunizations
  • Vision and hearing care

If you’d like to review a complete list of benefits in our plan, visit the MIChild plan page.
