Is my child still covered when we travel outside of Michigan?

Yes. If your child is covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for MIChild, your MIChild health care plan is a part of the BlueCard PPO program. It helps you find a doctor or hospital when your child needs emergency medical care outside of Michigan.

All you have to do is call the toll-free number on the back of your child’s Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan ID card: 1-800-810-BLUE (2583).
