Who's eligible for the Healthy Blue Living℠ plans?
Who is this for?
This information explains who can enroll in the Healthy Blue Living and Healthy Blue Living Rewards℠ plans.
The eligibility requirements are the same for both Healthy Blue Living and Healthy Blue Living Rewards. You can be in either plan if you’re:
- An active employee, COBRA member or retiree of an employer that sponsors a Healthy Blue Living plan AND under the age of 65
If you’re over the age of 65, you’re eligible for or may already be enrolled in a Medicare plan. But your non-Medicare eligible spouse or dependents can still get the benefits of a Healthy Blue Living plan. You just need to be an active employee, COBRA member or retiree of an employer that sponsors the plans. Here’s how it works:
| If you are | And your spouse is | And a Medicare plan is offered |
|---|---|---|
| Medicare-eligible | Medicare-eligible | You and your spouse enroll in the Medicare plan. Your non-Medicare eligible dependents are automatically enrolled in the Healthy Blue Living plan with enhanced benefits. |
| Medicare-eligible | Not Medicare eligible | You enroll in the Medicare plan. Your spouse enrolls in the Healthy Blue Living plan. Dependents receive the spouse's benefits (enhanced or standard for Healthy Blue Living; enhanced, intermediate or standard for Healthy Blue Living Rewards). |
| Not Medicare eligible | Medicare-eligible | You enroll in the Healthy Blue Living plan. Your dependents get your benefits (enhanced or standard for Healthy Blue Living; enhanced, intermediate, standard for Healthy Blue Living Rewards). Your spouse enrolls in the Medicare plan. |
