Grants, Programs and Contributions

The need for programs that promote good health in our communities is increasing. In many cases, support has decreased.

Not from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. We’ve given more than $15 million in less than a decade to improving the health of Michigan residents. While dollars are impressive, what counts is how many residents benefit.

  • Our Building Healthy Communities program has helped over 35,000 children in 83 schools learn to make healthier choices and be more physically active.
  • In just one year, our Strengthening the Safety Net grants made it possible for free and low-cost clinics to provide health care to approximately 140,000 people.
