CMS launches new online site for outreach and education resources

On March 28, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) launched a new online site to help assist issuers and community programs with their continued outreach and education planning efforts on the Marketplace. A Spanish version of the site will be available soon.

Currently, the website offers the following resources:

• Official Resources
  • Publications such as articles, pamphlets, posters, and small leaflets. The pamphlets are currently available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Tagalog, and Russian.
  • Brand Guidelines that provide standards related to the Health Insurance Marketplace identity mark (logo) and how to request use of the logo on materials.
  • Widgets and badges (formatted graphic messages) to copy and paste on a website or blog, as well as a multimedia presentation.
  • An overview training presentation to help users understand and explain the Marketplace, eligibility requirements, enrollment process, and options for consumers with limited income.
• Research materials
  • Talking points about the Marketplace: Top messages to emphasize key elements of the Marketplace and some “dos” and don’ts” for messaging
  • Social marketing research for the Health Insurance Marketplace (coming soon)
    
  • Medicaid/CHIP beneficiary satisfaction survey report : Key findings from a national survey of low-income parents
  • Parents' views of CHIP & Medicaid: Snapshot of findings from a survey of low-income parents
  • Census data to target the uninsured: Tables of data identifying geographic locations of eligible uninsured populations
• News and Events
  • Information about upcoming events, such as the Stakeholder Consultation opportunities, with ongoing discussions focusing on what’s happening in individual states or regions.
