DETROIT — Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is the only company in the state to receive top regional honors on DiversityInc's Top 10 Regional Companies list for diversity management, becoming No. 1 in the DiversityInc's regional ranking, up from third in 2011. The Blues also joined the league of Fortune 500 companies by ranking fifth on a list of the top 50 in Diversity MBA Magazine's Fifty Out Front for Diversity Leadership: Best Places for Diverse Managers to Work list, and also received recognition as one of 25 noteworthy companies nationally from DiversityInc.

"We are proud to be recognized for our commitment to diversity and inclusion, both inside our company and in our relationships with external partners," said Daniel J. Loepp, BCBSM president and CEO. "We place great value on our efforts because we believe diversity and inclusion not only represent the right thing to do, they help us operate successfully in the community."
