University of Michigan hospitals, health center and physicians join BCN Advantage℠ network

DETROIT — The University of Michigan Health System has joined the network of providers affiliated with BCN Advantage HMO-POS℠ effective Nov. 1. The decision gives BCN Advantage members access to more than 2,000 University of Michigan physicians, both specialists and primary care physicians, at 54 clinics and three hospitals: University Hospital, Voigtlander Women's Hospital and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital.

University Hospital in Ann Arbor is ranked No. 1 in the Detroit area and is among the top hospitals in the country in 2011, according to the U.S. News and World Report.
BCN Advantage is the Medicare Advantage offering from Blue Care Network, the affiliated HMO of BCBSM. With the addition of U-M, BCN Advantage's network includes 84 hospitals, almost 4,000 primary care physicians and more than 12,000 specialists.
