What parts of the health care reform law apply to agents?
Several sections of the reform law that refer to agents, highlighting the fact that agents will continue to play a vital role in the health insurance process.
Health and Human Services plans to establish procedures under which the state of Michigan can allow agents and brokers to enroll individuals and small groups in products on the Exchange starting in 2014.
The law also says agents can assist individuals in applying for premium tax credits and cost-sharing reductions for plans sold through an Exchange.
